I was recently reminded of the effects of having a toxic mind. A toxic mind is just as bad, if not worse than having a toxic body. Just like a toxic body a toxic mind will cause stress and disease.
There was a time when I was a complete skeptic about the power of the mind over the body. "What? Someone cured themselves with laugher? Lucky coincidence." Now, I see that the mind having an effect on health and disease is nothing but common sense.
When I became more aware of the effects of the food I put in my body I also became more aware of the effects of the thoughts I put in my mind. I started to notice that each time I stressed my mind with worry and negative thoughts I turned up sick the next day or just not feeling quite right.
When you fill your head with worry, negativity, stress, depressive thoughts, you are filling your body with the same low level energy. When you fill your head with positive, uplifting, happy thoughts you fill your body with the same thing. See often people view the mind and body as completely separate but they are connected in a way and what you think does make a difference.
Now the good news about this is that you have an extremely easy way to improve your health and all you have to do is detoxify your mind. So how do you go about doing this? You can really however you want. All you have to do is remove the negative, stressful, depressive, and other similar negative thoughts and emotions from yourself....and doing this is really as simple as stopping now!
Now I know that although it's that simple it can be really hard. At one time I was a very negative person and I still revert back to that mindset sometimes. It is a struggle when for years you have filled your mind with toxins but it's just something, like eating healthier, that you can do with a little focus and determination. If you want to be in optimal health it is a must. You must remove low energy negative thoughts from your head.
Now besides creating toxic thoughts internally we are also exposed to a lot of toxic messages from the world around us. So even if you are a generally positive person if you do things like read gossip magazines, watch tv, watch violent movies, listen to negative violent music, watch the news, spend time with negative complaining people and partake in other negative low energy level activities then you are filling your mind with toxins.
These external negative forces are just as if not easier than getting rid of internal toxic thoughts. Just stay away from them! Control your toxic exposure.
A lot of people get wrapped up in what is wrong in the world and complain and do nothing but complain. And there might be a lot wrong in the world but complaining will only produce more negative energy and toxins to fill the world. Instead of complaining and feeling powerless realize that you have the ability to change the world and realize all the good that is in the world.
The news maybe filled with the doom of the latest disease and the failing economy but it fails to mention the million good things that happen just in that past hour. When you realize this you may begin to realize that things are pretty good, sure there are issues but everything...everything has a good side, you just have to decide to see it.
