Recently the FDA announced that spinach and lettuce sold in the United States will be allowed to be irradiated. Knowing what irradiation is and does to food I was a bit angry but unfortunately not surprised by the decision. I've summarized some information about irradiation to provide an overview about the process and what it means to us and our food.

How to Make a Green Smoothie
It's likely that you've heard of the green smoothie before but you might be wondering "What exactly is a green smoothie and how does it taste?". First off there isn't really one green smoothie recipe out there, more like thousands. The term green smoothie basically means that you are making a healthy smoothie with fruits and vegetable greens. Using a Food Journal
Recently I began using a food journal to keep track of what I eat and drink on a daily basis. If I have juice I also write it down (I don't really drink any other beverages besides water).

How to Make Easy Guacamole
Conventional health wisdom explains that the human body needs a diet low in fat in order to remain fit, lean, and healthy. It's funny that although many people eat diets high in fat filled with burgers, chips, candy bars, and fried foods....they avoid the avocado....simply, because it's "high" in fat. Well, if you follow conventional views and don't want to change your eating habits from high fat junk foods I suppose I understand why you don't have the room to spare to fit the fats in from the avocado.
